About me

 I was born in 1999, in México. English is my second language. I'm a cis woman, I consider myself aro-ace, whic means that I don't feel romantic or sexual attraction. Despite this, the fiction I enjoy the most is romance based, mainly BL, though I also consume horror and other things. The majority of content I make is from BL fandoms.

 I'm a biologist, pursuing a master's degree on Environmental sciences.

I love reading, drawing and writing, but i'm not a proficient writer. I'm more confident in my drawn art. 

I like animals. I've only ever had dogs as pets, never cats, but I find cots adorable too, fish, and frogs, and reptiles, also some spiders and beetles are cool. While I wouldn't love to find a big scorpion in my house, I can still appreciate them, just from afar. 

I'm a bit worried that, as I age and the adult responsibilities become more, and more time-consuming, I will leave this side of me behind, and I don't want that to happen. It has never been my goal to live from my art, it's a hobby, but a very important one. Sometimes I discover myself thinking that maybe it's cringey, that I'm too old already, there are a lot as talented kids out there. However, I try to remember that this is simply something I enjoy, and that I'm alowed to enjoy things without making a profit. 

As I explained, I don't really like how short-lived social media is. I do use AO3 sometimes, for my short comics, but I don't want to saturate the tags with... just drawings. So, I think that this is a good way to have an archive.

Introduction and greetings

 Hello! I'm Ana, currently 26. I'm making this blog because I don't like how social media requires a constant input of content, and I wanted a sort of archive for my art.

Here, you will find fanart, mainly from danmei novels. I might even add some of my original work eventually if I feel like it, but we will see. I'm not actually expecting (a lot of) people to see this, but i like to pretend to write for a public.

The name "Nerium" is from Nerium oleander, which is also my twitter handle. Nerium oleander is the scientific name of the shrub rosebay, which is very commonly cultivated, pretty, and poisonous. Originally, "Oleander" was the name of an OC I had a long time ago, but I still like it. It doesn't have a deeper meaning.
